3) Was there an anti-slavery society near where students live? What did the anti-slavery society do and who belonged to it?

4) What were the connections between the anti-slavery movement in the U.S. and similar movements in Europe? 

5) What restrictions did free black people face in antebellum Massachusetts? In other northern states?
